Notes

I made this latte using a medjool date as a sweetener and it was delicious. With my Vitamix, it blended well and I didn't have any chunks in the latte. However, there was a very small amount of date "powder" at the bottom of the drink. I just didn't drink the last sip and it worked well for me! If you have a weaker blender, I wouldn't recommend using dates.
I also tried this drink without any sweetener. I liked it, but it definitely wasn't as good. I wouldn't recommend it if you're not a big fan of matcha as the sweetener does help balance the flavors.
For best results, add a touch of liquid sweetener to taste. Maple syrup or honey would work great!
This drink is also delicious with oat milk! You could also try low-fat coconut milk, but I haven't tried it myself.
This recipe makes one large latte (2 cups) or two small lattes. I add a bit of water, but you can skip this for a stronger, creamier drink.
